The cable was easy to install and did the job. I did not notice a major difference but the images were somewhat crisper and vibrant.

Was really excited about these cables. My son and I were playing Super Mario brothers when about 20 minutes into the game the 'red' disappeared from the screen. I unplugged the cable from the Wii and plugged back in and it fixed it for about 3 minutes, repeated this several times. Finally got tired of this and plugged in the original RCA cable that came with it and no issues. When it was working the picture was definitely clearer. In good faith I am requesting a replacement. Everyone gets a lemon from time to time.

Still a kid
The cables never quite worked. The color would go to blue or gray very often. The connection to the back of my TV was never snug. I used them for a weekend and they have been sitting in a box ever since. I ended up going to Target and spending $25 on Monster cables and they are working great. Lesson learned - you get what you pay for.

Sometime within the last two years (since the most helpful review that shows up on the product description page) they've updated the design so that the two audio connections are split from the video connection about 2' from the end of the cable, giving a total possible span between video and audio connections of almost 4'. Clearly an improvement, and possibly even as a result of direct consumer feedback! It would be v. nice to know if the changed design was a result of the reviews here on Amazon.

The cable I received was different from the one pictured. It had a two foot separation possible between the video component connectors and the audio connectors. That resolves any concern you might have about the cables not being able to reach the appropriate connectors. If that is still an issue or you have one of the older style cables then the problem can be resolved with a 2 RCA Male / 2 RCA Female, Cable Extension, 6 ft (or similar cable).

Otherwise, this cable seems reasonably durable and well manufactured. I was able to notice an improvement in picture clarity (but it's still not and will never be true HD).

The reason for four, as opposed to five, stars is it was a bit thicker and stiffer than it needed to be.
