In each game, a song will be played in one genre for about 10 to 15 seconds and then another, flipping back and forth. Points are earned by beat-matching, and successive matches will automatically launch quirky weapons such as smoke bomb, land mine and flip out. The more points earned, the more the music will be played in the player’s genre. The game can be played in versus mode, perfect for social and party game setting, or in adventure mode where player set out to battle bands of other genres one by one. Two bands enter. One band leaves.

Customer Reviews:
1 out of 5 stars Terrible songs, do NOT try even it seems inexpensive   December 12, 2009

My kids hate the songs in this game or they just don't know how to play. Played once and now ready to get rid of it but don't know how.

The songs are NOT excited at all and sound more like furenal marches. Do NOT try it; it is no.t worhty to buy.

2 out of 5 stars Wrist Action   February 17, 2009

Pros:
Hearing a song sung and played in a variety of genres, funny band animations, and a variety of venues to play in.

Cons:
Terrible graphics - everything is very blocky and colors are not very aggreeable to the eye. The music production quality is very low. This game is fun for a few minutes but wears thin fast. Your wrist/hand will get tired over the course of a 4-minute song.

There really isn't much to this game at all. It plays simliar to guitar hero or dance dance revolution as you "hit" notes at the correct time. The music sounds pretty terrible and gives you no incentive to play. Playing only requires quick flicks of the wrist and an occassional trigger pulling. Terrible graphics don't help either.

A VERY INNOVATIVE IDEA! I loved it! My daughter and I played for hours (my wrist still hurt!!).

I'm reading some of the reviews from some DISAPPOINTED buyers and I'm wondering what game did you purchase?

The game is better than Guitar Hero. It is very challenging and offers a wide array of play options.

You can dance and play either to ROCK, COUNTRY, LATIN, HIP HOP and more. You have to learn how to hit the notes..

If you don't get this ideology, you won't enjoy the game nor will you be able to launch attacks.

The game pits you against friends! SPOUSES! Kids! And I loved it.

I got the product on time, but this game is for Teens, and my son is too young to play it.

Thanks,

Hossein

3 out of 5 stars Not Guitar Hero, but Okay Nonetheless   July 5, 2008

I got this game because I didn't want to spend the money to buy Guitar Hero when I'd never played it before...that's a lot of money! A friend recommended this and I decided we'd try it.

The minute I put it in the Wii, I was extremely disappointed. It didn't seem fun at all! I put it away after only a few moments and promptly forgot about it. My seven year old son, however, begged me to play it the next day, and I said yes.

As I watched him hitting the notes, my competitive edge got the better of me, and I grabbed a wiimote and went at it with him. He chose a song when I wasn't looking, and I was shocked to hear the chords of one of my favorites, Feel Good Inc. come over the speakers! He got ahead of me and suddenly I was listening to it from a mariachi band...not a good mix.

The fun of this game is for the competitive people as well as for those who love to hear their music a number of different ways. Unlike other games, this one takes the song and twists it into ways you've never imagined. Want to hear Feel Good, Inc. as a country song? No problem! Prefer to listen to That's The Way I Like It through the unique stylings of an undead mariachi band? Sure! ("that's the way, uh huh uh huh, mi gusta, uh huh uh huh")

Is this a game we'll be playing for months? Probably not. But it is a great way to get a seven year old, a four year old, and two adults playing together. One of the best parts about the game is that I can set my level to hard while going against my 4 year old, who is set on easy, giving her a fair shot at kicking my behind (which then finds me nursing my wounded ego, let me tell you...)
